Trans-Siberian Orchestra

Trans-Siberian Orchestra has been rocking in venues since 1996. Paul O’Neill, manager and producer for such rock bands as Scorpions, Joan Jett and Aerosmith, founded the band with Robert Kinkel, Jon Oliva and Al Pitrelli. With these four, the core band was formed, but their career really took off in 1999 after their second studio album and subsequent tour.

Their sound has been described as a cross between Pink Floyd and The Who. They became the first major rock band to go directly to playing arenas and theaters rather than starting out at clubs. However, there is no other way to see a TSO show. Their concerts incorporate video screens, moving trusses, lasers and a full string section. It is a show unlike any other, and they frequently rank among the top-selling bands of the year.

The band has sold over 10 million albums over the course of their career as well as over 10 million concert tickets. They have released a series of rock operas, including Christmas Eve and Other Stories, Beethoven’s Last Night and The Lost Christmas Eve. Numerous performers have joined the band over the years, but one thing has always remained consistent. They put on a great show for anyone wanting to celebrate the holiday season with plenty of pyrotechnics.
